Ubisoft / Uplay
Operating systems: Windows. Mini Uplay Emu for R1 and Goldberg for the R2 API.
Before starting
Close the game, back up its original DLLs, executable and saves, and show file extensions. Match the game's architecture, not just your Windows version: x86 for a 32-bit game, x64 for a 64-bit game. Install one emulator for each API at a time. To undo a change, remove only the files you added and restore your backups.
Uplay R1 · Mini Uplay Emu
Rat431's older Uplay API emulator. It does not cover ubiorbitapi_r2_loader or supply Ubisoft's online services.
- Back up the game's R1 Uplay library. Copy the matching R1 emulator library and the supplied Uplay.ini into the same folder, retaining the name expected by the game.
- In [Uplay], set the game's Ubisoft AppId, Username and supported Language. Keep UserId stable for existing saves. Use the example's local dummy profile values; no real account password is needed in this offline emulator.
- Save Uplay.ini and launch the game. If it reports that Uplay.ini is missing, check that it is beside the emulator DLL and is not actually named Uplay.ini.txt.
Uplay R2 · Goldberg
For games using the newer R2 API. It emulates that API only; any additional executable protection remains separate.
- Back up the game's R2 loader library. Copy the corresponding emulator library and uplay_r2.ini from the package into its folder, keeping the library name expected by that game.
- Set Username, UserId and Language in [Settings]. Adapt [DLC] and [Items] to the game rather than retaining the Fenyx example. The original emulator receives the Ubisoft App ID from the game's UPC_Init call.
- Choose SaveType/SavePath from the supplied INI comments, keep UserId stable, then launch and test saving/loading. Copy old saves before attempting any conversion; a Steam App ID is not a Ubisoft App ID.
