GOG Galaxy
Operating systems: Windows. Nemirtingas Galaxy and compatible LAN multiplayer.
Before starting
Close the game, back up its original DLLs, executable and saves, and show file extensions. Match the game's architecture, not just your Windows version: x86 for a 32-bit game, x64 for a 64-bit game. Install one emulator for each API at a time. To undo a change, remove only the files you added and restore your backups.
GOG Galaxy · Nemirtingas
Emulates the Galaxy API and can support compatible multiplayer over LAN. It does not provide a connection to GOG's official servers.
- Choose Galaxy.zip or Galaxy64.zip to match the game's Galaxy library. Back up the original Galaxy DLL and preserve the archive's matching library name when placing the replacement.
- If using Nemirtingas's launcher, add the game with its actual executable and matching emulator build, configure its player settings, and start the game through it. The launcher handles library backup/replacement/restoration; keep it open until the game exits.
- Test the game's supported LAN mode with matching versions on the same network. If the launcher was closed prematurely, restore the original DLL from its backup before changing the setup.
