Cubejoy
Operating systems: Windows. CubeEMU and CubeStub, with separate instructions for each supported version.
Before starting
Close the game, back up its original DLLs, executable and saves, and show file extensions. Match the game's architecture, not just your Windows version: x86 for a 32-bit game, x64 for a 64-bit game. Install one emulator for each API at a time. To undo a change, remove only the files you added and restore your backups.
Cubejoy · CubeEMU / CubeStub
An advanced, version-specific setup: CubeAPI emulation and CubeStub executable protection are separate components.
- Identify the version and architecture covered by the topic, then back up the executable and API library. Apply the matching CubeEMU first, as required by the author.
- For a supported CubeStub version, use the matching patcher on a copy, or load the author's matching script in x64dbg with the target paused at its entry point. The topic has distinct procedures for 1.0, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2; they are not interchangeable.
- Save the patched copy using the tool's patch function and test it. For UE4 builds, the author notes import-table problems with dumping and directs users to patch instead. If the expected pattern is absent, stop and check the version.
